Alibernet 2005 "Ledové" (Ice wine)
Vinařství Veverka | Sweet Wines | Czech Republic | 715.00 CZK
Ice wine has been a tradition in the Czech Republic for as long as anyone can remember. The grapes are harvested late and in the dead of winter when the grapes are frozen by the extreme cold. This concentrates the sugars and provides for a very sweet desert wine.
This wine is made from the same grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon and Alicante Bouche) as the regular Alibernet, however, do to the difference in harvest time and the unique wine making method, this wine has much more body and a very high natural sugar content making it quite sweet.
Among "Ice Wines" this one truly stands out as a leader.
This wine makes a great desert wine at the end of almost any meal or enjoy it as an aperitif.
Alibernet 2007
Vinařství Veverka | Red Wines | Czech Republic | 289.00 CZK
This variety was bred in the Ukrainian city of Odessa crossing varieties Alicante Bouche and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The deep red color hints of a strong bouquet and a full flavor with tones of black currant and dark wild berries. The soft tannins help carry this wine through to a lingering finish.
Think about serving this with distinctive dishes such as roasted dark meats, and aged cheeses.

Production is limited to about 50,000 bottles of 75 cl per annum, placed on sale one year after the vintage. The vineyard's international recognition allows the wine (gold medal from the International Wine taste in Bordeaux and Expo-Vip Milano) to appear in the most prestigious markets. This wine can be accompanied with all types of fish dishes, even with sauces, plus white meats and mushroom soup.

Lugana DOC tenuta Maiolo
Azienda Agricola Provenza | White Wines | Czech Republic | 265.00CZK
The white wine "Ca' Maiöl" Lugana DOC is produced from Lugana Trebbiano grapes and takes its name from Cascina Maiolo, the vineyard founded in 1710. The grapes used in this wine are taken from vines spread over 23 hectars, averaging 20 years old, and have an average production of 100 quintals per hectare. The soil is made up of layers of calcareous clay created during the post-glacial era of Lake Garda. It gives the wine its characteristic straw colour with green highlights, its delicate bouquet of almonds and its very slightly salty, sappy flavour. Selection of the grapes, hand picking, gentle pressing, controlled fermentation and bottling under nitrogen are aspects which let the typical Lugana flavour come to the fore. Provenza Lugana Maiolo is found in renowned restaurants and shops worldwide. This wine is most satisfying and is best served chilled with hors d'oeuvres and with dishes of fresh / salt-water fish.
